Hampton Academy Year 7 Girls Tag Rugby

Sport is going from strength to strength at Hampton Academy and this time it was the turn of the girls to impress at Rugby. Our year 7 girls entered the Harlequins RL Tag Rugby competition on Friday 30 September 2011. The competition saw Hampton Academy face six other Richmond schools.

Our girls did fantastically well, winning two games against Twickenham Academy and drawing against Waldegrave, the eventual winners, in the final match of their pool. Our girls narrowly missed out on a spot in the grand final.

Mr Giblin, School Sport Coordinator, said ‘Our girls did themselves proud today. They represented Hampton Academy very well, and the fact that these girls are year 7 means we have some more sporting successes to look forward to in the future’. Well done girls!
